Coach Code of Conduct

All Motion Sports coaches are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, athlete safety, integrity, and respect.

Coaches agree to:

  • Put athlete safety and well-being first.
  • Treat every athlete fairly and respectfully.
  • Provide an environment free from bullying, harassment, abuse, discrimination, and intimidation.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with minor athletes.
  • Use developmentally appropriate coaching methods.
  • Avoid humiliating, degrading, threatening, or abusive coaching practices.
  • Encourage effort, learning, discipline, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.
  • Provide constructive feedback.
  • Respect officials, opponents, parents, volunteers, and other coaches.
  • Follow applicable Safe Sport guidance and coach eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain required certifications, screenings, memberships, and training applicable to their role.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose potential conflicts when they arise.
  • Protect confidential athlete and family information.
  • Never retaliate against an athlete or family for raising a concern in good faith.
  • Report serious safety, misconduct, or safeguarding concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Model the behaviour and values expected from All Motion Sports athletes.

The role of an All Motion Sports coach is not only to develop volleyball players but also to positively contribute to the personal development of young athletes.
