Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

Last Updated: August 2026

Parents and guardians play an important role in creating a positive environment for young athletes.

Parents/guardians agree to:

  • Treat athletes, instructors, officials, volunteers, other parents, and facility staff respectfully.
  • Encourage effort, improvement, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Avoid abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or intimidating behaviour.
  • Refrain from coaching athletes from the sidelines when doing so conflicts with instructor guidance.
  • Respect reasonable instructional decisions.
  • Allow instructors to provide technical instruction during sessions.
  • Communicate concerns respectfully and through appropriate organization channels.
  • Avoid confrontational discussions with instructors immediately before, during, or immediately after instructional sessions.
  • Respect officials and refrain from abusive criticism of officiating when applicable.
  • Support a positive environment for all athletes, not only their own child.
  • Respect athlete privacy and the privacy of other families.
  • Follow facility rules and All Motion Sports policies.
  • Inform All Motion Sports of relevant information necessary for the athlete's safe participation.

Parents are encouraged to raise legitimate concerns. Raising a concern respectfully and in good faith will not negatively affect an athlete's standing within the organization.
